E-Mail Broadcasting
Communicating with your members is crucial and e-mailing has become an inexpensive way of doing so. It is for many associations
now an essential tool for membership retention. Whether it's to send out renewal forms, meeting notices,
reminders to update their listings or other communications requirements, consider
e-mail broadcasting
as an integral part of your membership management system.

Our system is divided into two primary components, the e-mail message editor and the broadcast screen,
as pictured above. From the broadcast screen you can elect to send a specific message to all of your
members, force that members are included only, or build a condition based on any field within the system.
In the example above, the output is being limited to where province equals "ON".
By keeping the "Add to E-Mail History File" button selected, once the e-mails are sent it
is recorded in the e-mail history file that this message was sent to the respective member. From the
member file, the operator can see which messages a specific member was sent and when. There is a
re-broadcast screen that can also be used to resend messages to all those on the same list, or just to
those who couldn't be sent to initially because of issues such as bad e-mail addresses. A list of errors
can be printed after each send to work through errors before re-broadcasting efforts.
Messages can also be queued up by adding them to the e-mail queue. Several messages can be prepared
and queued in this fashion, then all can be sent at a later time. Messages can also be previewed in the
queue management screen, or individual e-mails removed before sending of the entire queue.
As with the MA eBlaster designed for publishers,
the MA Association Manager has mail-merge capabilities with almost all of the fields from the
member's record. Equally, special routines can be written to pull in special data, such as a member's
directory listing being sent for approval. Messages can also be setup to send which contain
specific links that will drive members directly to their own listing on a web-site for editing purposes.
