Group and Committee Management
Within any organization of more then a
few people, there is a requirement to manage these groups.
For the MA Associations Manager software there are two types
of groups, one simply called Groups, and one for Committees.
The difference is that groups are just that -- a collection of
individuals which can be used to segment reporting, e-mail
broadcasting, letter generation or for quick access through
our group management screen. Groups can be used to code for
demographic information, or just to index individuals.

Above is an example of our basic Group Management
screen. You can add or remove members form this screen, as
you can individually from the member's own screen. You can
e-mail broadcast to a group, run our letter generator
against this group or print labels as well. It is a central
place where you can manage groups by selecting which ones to
work on by checking the associated check box. Groups can
have a few members or thousands, it's up to you. You can
expire members from a group as there is a start and end date
associated with them, and you can view current members,
expired members or all group records, regardless of
expiration.
Committees, on the other hand, have
more elements associated with them, such as specific meeting
times, the ability to generate agendas and have those
forwarded to the members of the committee. Costs can be
associated with meetings and reports produced to indicate
how much committees cost the association. Committee
membership can also be used to segment members for reporting
and other purposes, but has a more specific purpose –
driving committee meetings.

you can manage your groups and committees more easily.
