Web Access and Data Tools
Mendon Associates Inc. can provide you with custom tools to
manage your web-site more effectively and add a dynamic
element to a visitor's browsing experience. Here are some
of the elements that we have provided for existing clients:
-
Restricted membership pages through member log-in procedures. This
functionality can be applied to any web-page by adding one line at the
top of the page. The system then checks to see if the user trying to
gain access is currently logged into the web-site. If they are not,
a log-in screen appears and they must successfully log in. Once they
have logged in, the system will return them to the page they initially tried to
access.
-
Membership registration through your web-site can also be performed
from the same database which is used to generate member listings dynamically.
In the case of CPRS, members can log into the system and renew their membership
on-line and, through a secure connection, pay with their credit card or have
an invoice issued.
-
News module which allows updating through an administrative back-end
to add new stories or edit and delete existing ones, with a news summary
sidebar for picking. For an example of this go to the
Toronto IceDogs
web-site and visit their news page. It is created dynamically through accessing
a data base of stories which can be edited by anyone with administrative
access while on-line. The News sidebar on the top right of the page displays
the headings from selected news items, which the administrator can set on.
This is a very limited list of tools or items which can be developed to add
to your web-site. We can develop for you a calendar of events, new member
registration, e-commerce, and any number of other features. Mendon Associates
specializes in working with ASP (Active Server Pages) and ASP.Net, using VB Scripts,
Java, C# and other programming languages. Data access to SQL Server, Access and
Visual FoxPro databases can be performed through ADO connections, or specially written COM custom
software.
Call us if you have a question or are just trying to work out a budget.
