Reader Service Product Screen
When you first enter the Reader Service
Products section of the Entry Menu, you are first taken
to a search screen where you can located existing RSC by
issue or add new ones. If you press the <Enter> or
<Add> buttons, you will be presented with the
following screen:

To add a Reader Service Product, simply
fill in the necessary information in the fields. Choosing
Save to save the new product and return to the previous
screen. As with Edit, choosing Cancel returns you to the
previous screen.Products or items which are added to
the RSC data base (ProdList) can be designated as either
a "RSC Lead" or a "Buying Intention".
A "RSC Lead" is intended for those items which
are entered for a specific advertiser, and there can only
be one lead per issue of the same RSC number. A
"Buying Intention", on the other hand, is a
lead which is allowed to be entered for any number of
advertisers. This is used when there are general
categories, which advertisers fall into, and for which
you would ask on the RSC Card if the reader "Has any
intention of purchasing this product in the next six
months". Thus, for one "Buying Intention"
lead entered into the system, it will copy the lead to
each advertiser assigned to it. In simple terms, if there
are ten advertisers assigned to one buying intention, and
ten readers circle that number then you have 100 leads.
Remember that there is a multiplier effect when a RSC
number is entered into the system off of a RSC card. That
is, for each "RSC Lead", there is only one lead
to process, but for each "Buying Intention"
number entered, there are as many leads as there are
advertisers attached to it.
