Mendon Associates now offers publishers three options for on-line subscriber
fulfillment. The first is our Web-Site Data Hosting option. This is where we store
your data on our web-site at www.magazineservices.ca and you would either put a
link to that site on your site, or bury the subscription form inside of a frame
on your page so it would look like it's part of the magazine's web site. To see
how you could bury it go to online_demo.asp for an example. You can enter
your own subscription in to get you in to see the accounts. This page pulls from
www.magazineservices.ca/demo.
There is a back end at www.magazineservices.ca which
will allow your circulation specialist to upload and download data on a daily
basis to keep the remote data in sync with your live data. To see the use of
direct links, Kerrwil Publications
is currently using this option for two different magazines (www.cymagazine.ca and
www.boatingindustry.ca)
-- hitting the subscribe tab on either of these two home pages will take you to
www.magazineservices.ca
and their subscription pages.
The second option is for you to purchase our web-server software and ASP script
pages to load onto your own server. This, however, requires that the server be a
Windows Server running Microsoft's IIS software. It also requires that your service
provider allow you to load our COM based software onto the server, which most commercial
service providers won't. We are almost finished implementing this option with www.itworldcanada.com,
a publisher who has their own server so they will be hosting our COM software
modules for subscription maintenance. For more details on requirements for a

The third option is to use our ISP (Internet Service Provider) to host the publisher's
site to run it on their own without the need of interfacing with
www.magazineservices.ca.
You can then manage it directly without our intervention or assistance. This option
has been negotiated with one of our service providers --
www.hks.ca.

(please note that prices are tentative and subject to change in the next few
months):

Note that part of the setup would be to add your demographic questions and categories
to the web-site for things such as industry, job function and so on. If you're doing
it yourselves, We assume you have a web-site programmer who will handle the
work, but will use our ASP scripts will provide direction.
